Michelle Allman-Esdaille is a visionary leader making significant strides in the creative industry. Her brainchild, The Hook & Company, stands as a testament to her innovative approach in revolutionizing artist services within Toronto and beyond. As a seasoned business owner and accomplished artist manager, Michelle’s influence reaches far beyond her professional endeavors.
Renowned for her expertise as an artist strategist and industry consultant, Michelle holds an unwavering commitment to holistic success, incorporating mental health advocacy into her impactful work. Breaking barriers as the sole Black female heading a Canadian sync agency, The HOOK Sync Group, she champions inclusivity and representation.
Driven by a passion for creating spaces that empower underrepresented artists in the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and female communities, Michelle is a true pioneer in the industry. As an activist within the Black community, Michelle has spent time working with ADVANCE, Canada’s Black Music Business Collective, she spearheaded operations, training and education and talent acquisition, actively bridging gaps and fostering growth in Canada’s Black music scene…
Michelle's Dream
My dream is to support creative individuals in the music industry, which is often a place of judgment and loss. This industry, despite its allure and potential for success, can be incredibly harsh, leading to self-doubt and emotional distress among many talented artists. By fostering self-belief beyond their own understanding, I believe incredible transformations can occur. By providing a space where creatives can heal and rediscover their full potential, I envision a community where artists can thrive beyond their perceived limitations.
My vision is to create a transformative space where confidence in oneself is cultivated and nurtured. I believe that when individuals in the music industry are supported in this way, they can achieve greatness that resonates beyond their personal aspirations. This support not only helps them succeed professionally but also brings people together through their shared love of music, fostering a community of empowered, resilient creatives.
Ultimately, I would like to see creative individuals in the music industry thrive in environments that support their well-being and foster their self-belief. By leveraging my personal experience and my work with The HOOK & Company, I am dedicated to creating spaces where healing, empowerment, and creative expression can flourish.
